What4 is committed to training the next generation of youth and community workers. This is an opportunity for people who know that they have a purpose to be fulfilled and are mission focused to be stretched and developed. All our training programmes are 20% theory and 80% practice.
Listed below are the various Ignition training options offered as part of the Ignition Training.
Elivate:
Placement opportunity within the area of Kent, either within your local church or one found by What 4 run in partnership with Moorlands Bible College. From September to July. This will include, among other things:
Bible based teaching
Mission
Leadership
Working with Children and Young People
Helping the local Church to influence the community
Gap year.
Working alongside the What4 Team. Being on placement in your own Church or placed within a church chosen by What4.
September to August
Working with:
Youth and Children
Schools
Detatched work
Alongside Bible based training
Part time cert in youth and community.
What4 working in partnership with the Local Authority to enable you to gain a part time Certificate in Youth and Community, covering a whole range of Youth and Community topics. Duration September to January.
Once a month training sessions:
What4 runs at its training centre once a month, covering a large range of topics in;
Church ministry
Leadership
Mission
Bible based teaching,
Working with young people, children and families.
This runs once a month on a Saturday or Monday, from October to July.
You’ll find a complete timetable of topics for this particular training on our website to enable you to choose those that are of interest to you.
Train as a Schools worker
By attending What4’s School’s training programme. You will be working alongside trained Schools workers and helping the local Church take responsibility for their local Schools. Duration September to December.
